Evaluation
This task force advises the project on measuring the number of uninsured children and youth in Hawaii and establishing long-term systems to continually collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. It also monitors applications and outreach data from local projects as well as outcomes and indicators.
Identification and Outreach
The major questions addressed by this task force are who is uninsured and how can we help them get enrolled in free or low-cost health insurance programs. Members advise the project director and Med-QUEST about coordinated efforts to reach families.
Media and Public Information
This task force develops media outreach campaigns using project and community resources.
Process Simplification
This task force outlines strategies to assist Med-QUEST with simplifying its processes and overcoming enrollment and retention barriers.
Training and Public Education
This task force creates materials for customer information, application assistant trainings, and public presentations.
Work Groups
Temporary work groups are also formed to address specific topics such as enrolling 100% of newborns annually, HIPAA compliance for outstationed eligibility workers, and application and renewal simplification.
